Gone are the days when you would leave primary school with a heavily signed school shirt and a tearful farewell. It is all now about the prom, even when leaving primary school.
Limos, Harleys, cute playsuits, fancy frocks and a bouncy castle were all the order of the day for the Year 6 leavers of Leigham Primary School who held their prom at Boringdon Golf Club in Plympton.
An excited gaggle of girls were first arrived in their eye-popping pink disco bus and were not shy to strut their stuff on the red carpet for the camera. And strut they did as they killed time before the boys arrived fashionably late in their beast of a stretch hummer!
The boys coolly exited their hummer and posed for a group shot before rather awkwardly making their way down the red carpet in the style of the latest Fortnite dance moves!
The trail of guests arriving in unique ways did not stop at the boys as stunning cars and an escort of Harley Davidsons soon took centre stage.
Once the red carpet had been worn out, the party could begin with the children enjoying a super disco complete with foam machine, a bouncy castle and my latest Photo Booth set up with funky props!
As the evening drew to a close, the sugar from the sweet cones took hold and a gorgeous sunset appeared beyond the bouncy castle for some stunning children at play portraits. Leaving school is all about retaining friendships and I know these guys will keep fond memories of the children they spent their primary years with.
