Back in the summer, I responded to an online request for a photographer to capture images at a charity event. As soon as I saw the charity involved, Combat Stress, I knew I had to offer my services.
Jodi Johnson organised a 320 guest ball to raise money for Combat Stress, a charity she values after experiencing a loss of a colleague whilst serving for the Royal Air Force. She held her event at Boringdon Golf Club, who did a great job to host such a large event. The evening's musical entertainment was provided by The Sound, the South West's premium wedding and event band.
Initially, I took on the event on my own and as the summer progressed and my partner company, Devon Rose Photography, owned by my brother Marcus, began to find its feet, it became an obvious choice to offer both services to fully cover the event.
Whilst Marcus manned the pop up studio capturing everyone in their finery, I roamed the room to capture the more candid moments of the evening.
The gallery is now live at https://www.devonrosewedding.co.uk/client-galleries/ . Enter by using the password, CombatStress (case sensitive). Image downloads can be purchased direct from the gallery and a percentage of all sales will be donated back to Jodi and her fundraising efforts.
If you were unable to attend the evening but feel as passionate about the charity as we do, you can also donate direct to Jodi's Virgin Money Giving page by clicking here.
We wish Jodi all the best with her climb of Mount Kilimanjaro and congratulate her for her successful evening.
